We are pleased to share that we successfully hosted Deep-Breath 2025 in South Korea as part of MICCAI 2025.
We are delighted to share the highlights and outcomes of the Deep-Breath 2025 Workshop, which was successfully held on 23 September 2025 in Daejeon, South Korea, as part of the MICCAI 2025 conference.
This year marked a new milestone for Deep-Breath:
- 馃摑 We received 62 paper submissions from researchers worldwide.
路 馃弳 More than 300 participants joined our three associated challenges: ODELIA 2025, MAMA-MIA 2025, and UUSIC 2025.
路 馃實 Participants represented 34 countries across the globe.
Following a rigorous peer-review process, 35 papers were accepted for oral and/or poster presentations.
The workshop featured a full-day program that included:
路 Keynote talks by world-leading experts: Ritse Mann, Shandong Wu, Jakob Nikolas Kather, and Tao Tan
路 Project presentation by our representative: Mr. Jarek van Dijk
路 Oral and poster presentations of accepted papers
路 Challenge sessions with discussions spanning multi-modal AI applications, emphasizing breast cancer
路 Finalist announcements and awards for the Deep-Breath Challenges
路 Networking opportunities for researchers, clinicians, and industry partners


We are deeply grateful to the chairs, organizing team, advisory committee, technical and clinical committees, and all reviewers for their dedication and thoughtful contributions. Most importantly, we sincerely thank all authors and challenge participants for their trust and engagement.
By bringing together an international community, the Deep-Breath Workshop continues to foster innovation at the intersection of AI and breast imaging, and to advance research with direct clinical relevance.
