Vivien van Veldhuizen

Vivien started her PhD after graduating from her bachelor's and master's degrees in artificial intelligence at the University of Amsterdam. Now, she works as a PhD candidate at the Netherlands Cancer Institute, in the AI for Oncology group of Jonas Teuwen and in Ritse Mann's Breast Imaging Group at the Radboud UMC. She is also collaborating with Katja Pinker-Domenig at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York.

Her research is a part of the aiEMBRACE project, which aims to transform breast cancer care by uniquely integrating AI and deep learning throughout the entire patient journey - from risk assessment and diagnosis to treatment and surveillance.
